God, suffering and evil

catAs we work through the book of Job, we’re constantly confronted with the issues of evil and suffering.  How can God allow them to exist?  How can God allow us to suffer?  Can we still say he’s good when there is so much evil and suffering in the world?

Tim Keller is the pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York, and the author of a number of books including “The Reason for God: Belief in an age of skepticism”.  He gave a great talk a while a back that looks at how a good God could allow suffering.

Instead of me reinventing the wheel and writing an article about this, go to the site, have a listen and pass it on to a friend who isn’t a Christian and might struggle with this issue.  It’s a great 30 min talk, but then the question time afterwards is even better!

Check it out here.
